3D Visualiser

Second Life is able to deliver a good quality game like 3D environment for the stake holders to move around and explore. However, in order to get the full power of the visualisation with depth and distance we use a 'Reach-out' 3D stereoscopic system. This uses the same technology as the 'imax' or 'REALD' cinemas which through the use of polarized glasses emerse the viewer even more in the environment.

This technique increases the viewers spacial understanding. Objects are seen in their true 3D space and walking around the new building you are able to make sense of perspective and scale.

We have been working with this 3D system for three years and as part of our research and development we have developed content and gained access to an incredibly wide range of educational software that can be used across subject areas using this technology. This technology, that we consider to be the next big development in visual display technology, has already been adopted by over 70 schools nationwide.
